Dr. Chan received her Honours Bachelor of Biomedical Science degree with a minor in Economics from the University of Waterloo where she graduated on the Dean’s Honour list. She then continued on at the University of Waterloo completing her Doctor of Optometry degree, also on the Dean’s Honour list. Dr. Chan completed her ocular disease externship in Scarborough, Ontario where she worked alongside of a retinal ophthalmologist Dr. Jordan Cheskes in diagnosing and managing retinal diseases including retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, and age related macular degeneration.
